The Kokatha People are the Traditional Owners of a large area of land in the northern region of South Australia, estimated to extend over some 140,000 km2.
Traditionally the Kokatha people have been associated with the land that is to the north of Port Augusta, stretching from Lake Torrens in the east to the Gawler Ranges in the West.
This includes the land surrounding BHP's Olympic Dam operation near Roxby Downs and Oz Mineral's copper-gold project at Carrapateena.
The Kokatha People decided to form this Aboriginal Corporation to be the prescribed body corporate and to become the registered native title body corporate for the determined areas pursuant to section 57(2) of the NTA and to manage the native title rights and interests of the Common Law Holders.

About the role
We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Head Stockman to join the Kokatha Pastoral Team.
In this dynamic and hands-on leadership role, you'll be at the heart of the station operations and managing the day-to-day activities on the station,



overseeing livestock health and welfare, and ensuring efficient and effective stock management.
The successful candidate will bring strong leadership skills, extensive hands-on experience with livestock, and a deep understanding of cattle management practices.
Full time role located in Roxby Downs working 38 hours per week
Monday to Friday roster

Job Tasks, Duties & Responsibilities:
Lead and supervise a team, providing guidance and training as needed
Oversee livestock movement, feeding
Ensure upkeep of facilities, fencing, water systems, and equipment required for livestock management.
Foster a robust safety culture by adhering to industry regulations, workplace safety standards, and safe work behaviours to maintain a safe and compliant working environment
To be successful in this role you will have:
Proven relevant experience in a similar supervisory role
Strong understanding of livestock health, behaviour, breeding, and general station operations
Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively manage and coordinate with staff and management.
