THE ROLE
n
Based in Geelong, this role will support our electrical and multidisciplinary engineering teams by delivering high-quality drafting and BIM modelling across a variety of sectors including health, education, commercial, civic, urban and recreational. Your typical day may include:
n
n
Preparing drawings, plans and models of electrical building services and installations
n
Assisting Electrical Engineers and
Designers/Technologists
in the design and layout of electrical building services and installations
n
Coordinating electrical drawings and models with other disciplines and architectural models
n
Inspecting site electrical installations and providing input and feedback to designs and finished products for compliance with specifications and regulations
n
Supporting project delivery through design updates, mark-ups and document coordination
n
Contributing to national drafting and BIM standards, templates and workflows under the guidance of senior technical leads
n
Working within multidisciplinary project teams to ensure coordinated, clash-free outcomes
n
Supporting continuous improvement and innovation in drafting and modelling practices
n
n




This role plays an important part in the technical quality and efficiency of project delivery across our national business.

OUR IDEAL CANDIDATE
n
You are a capable and detail-oriented Electrical BIM Drafter who brings:
n
n
Experience in electrical, building services or multidisciplinary drafting
n
Proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit (MEP experience highly regarded)
n
Strong attention to detail and a commitment to producing accurate, high-quality documentation
n
Ability to interpret engineering sketches, mark-ups and design instructions
n
Good understanding of coordination across building and infrastructure services
n
Ability to work both independently and within a collaborative national team
n
Strong communication skills and a proactive, solutions-focused approach
n
A willingness to learn, grow and contribute to continual improvement
n
n
It would also be highly advantageous if you have:
n
n
Experience in the Victorian or national building services market
n
Exposure to BIM management, workflows or quality assurance
n
Knowledge of electrical building services
n
Experience using Navisworks, Autodesk Construction Cloud or similar platforms
n
Certificate or tertiary qualification in drafting, design or building services
n
n
