Brisbane Laser Cutting Services is an Australian owned and operated business based in Brisbane's north-side suburb of Burpengary.

Weare seeking an experienced3D Draftsperson, with preference to Autodesk Inventor experience or a suitably qualified cadet to produce detailed drawings that include product dimensions, required materials and fabrication procedures. Preference will be given to applicants with a background in a laser cutting or a repetition manufacturing environment.
RESPONSIBILITIES: n
Use Autodesk Inventor or similar to draft designs, workshop drawings and building installation layouts.
n
Prepare workshop drawings for the factory based on supplied specifications and dimensions.
n
Liaise with stake holders in preparation and production of product and site specific detail drawings.
n
Liaise with factory staff in preparation and production of product drawings to assist with fabrication and tool pathing for companyCNC Laser cutter.
n
Revise and update current and current workshop and product drawings of company's standard product range.
n
Create,



update and maintain drawing register for projects.
n
Continual maintenance of file management system.
ESSENTIAL SKILLS REQUIRED: n
Background in metal fabrication will be highly regarded.
n
Proficient use of 2D / 3D Modelling Software is essential.
n
Experience in drafting, computer graphics or similar essential.
n
Experience interpreting incoming drawings (Building Plans, Engineering Plans, etc.).
n
Must be knowledgeable about current metal properties, standards and fabrication techniques.
n
Can read and interpret constructions plans and produce presentation drawings.
n
Proficient in MS Office, Excel and all other basic computer software.
n
Excellent organisational skills and ability to deliver without constant supervision.
NON-ESSENTIAL SKILLS (PREFERRED): n
Use and knowledge of 3D Scanner and related software to import scanner data is desirable.
n
Proficient with Inventor (Other Parametric Software Considered).
n
At least 2 years related work experience is desirable.
