We are seeking an experienced
Senior
Financial Accountant
to join our Finance team, taking responsibility for the accounting and financial reporting of our landfill operations.
n
This is a hands-on role suited to someone with strong technical accounting skills, attention to detail and a high level of ownership and accountability.
Key Responsibilities n
Prepare monthly management accounts and financial reports
n
Complete balance sheet and bank reconciliations
n
Prepare journals, accruals and month-end adjustments
n
Review revenue, expenditure and cost allocations
n
Manage intercompany transactions and reconciliations
n
Assist with budgeting, forecasting and cash flow reporting
n
Maintain accurate fixed asset and capital expenditure records
n
Support year-end reporting and external audit requirements
n
Work closely with operational teams to ensure accurate and timely financial information
n
Identify and resolve accounting issues proactively
About You n
CA/CPA qualified or working towards qualification
n
Strong financial accounting and month-end experience
n
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
n
Strong understanding of accounting principles
n
Takes ownership and accountability for work
n
Organised with the ability to meet deadlines
n
Proactive and explicit communicator
n
Able to work independently and as part of a broader Finance team
n
Experience within
landfill, waste management, construction, property or a multi-entity environment
will be highly regarded.
n
