Head Office, you'll work closely with the Head of Merchandise and play a key role in developing industry-leading automotive and 4WD accessories. From design and prototyping through to testing and production, you'll have a direct impact on shaping the future of our product portfolio.

What You'll Be Doing: n
n
Lead the design and development of innovative automotive and 4WD light accessory products from concept through to production.
n
Create detailed 3D CAD models, assemblies, sheet metal components, brackets, housings and vehicle integration systems.
n
Utilise 3D scanning technology to capture vehicle geometries and transform scan data into production-ready designs.
n
Prepare and maintain engineering documentation including manufacturing drawings, BOMs, installation guides and technical specifications.
n
Develop products for manufacture using laser cutting, CNC machining, press braking and fabrication processes.
n
Build prototypes, conduct testing and validate products to ensure quality, durability and performance standards are met.
n
Carry out vehicle fitments, field testing and product evaluations, incorporating real-world feedback into product improvements.
n
Collaborate with cross-functional teams across product development, manufacturing, and marketing.
n
Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on manufacturability, cost efficiency, and product performance.
n
About You n
You are a practical, solutions-focused engineer who enjoys getting out from behind the desk and into the workshop. You're passionate about creating great products and thrive in a fast-paced setting where innovation and problem-solving are part of everyday life.
To be successful, you'll have: n
n
Degree qualification in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
n
Experience using 3D scanning technology and converting scan data into production-ready designs.
n
Ability to create accurate manufacturing drawings for fabrication, laser cutting and press-brake operations.
n
Experience in automotive, 4WD or accessory product design (highly regarded).
n
Strong mechanical aptitude with hands-on experience working on vehicles.
n
Basic automotive electrical knowledge and troubleshooting skills.
n
Practical fabrication experience and confidence using workshop equipment and tools.
n
Experience designing, prototyping, testing and refining products.
n
Strong project management, problem-solving and communication skills.
n
A commitment to workplace safety and engineering best practices.
n
A passion for 4WDs is highly desirable, but not essential.
