About the role:
n
CatholicCare Central Queensland is seeking an experienced
Family Dispute Resolution Practitioner
to join our Mediation Services Team.
n
This is an opportunity to use your professional expertise to support families experiencing separation, relationship breakdown and related disputes, while helping them work toward positive outcomes.
n
You will provide high-quality, child-focused and impartial Family Dispute Resolution and mediation services as part of our integrated Family Services Stream.
n
Your work will include:
n
n
Family Dispute Resolution and mediation
n
Property mediation
n
Property intake, information, support and referrals
n
Parenting intake, when required
n
Community networking and program promotion
n
n
You will work with a high degree of professional autonomy while operating within established professional, legislative and organisational frameworks. You will also contribute to service quality, compliance and positive outcomes for children, parents and families.
n
What you'll bring:
n
We are looking for an experienced practitioner who is passionate about supporting families and can deliver professional, impartial and child-focused dispute resolution services.
n
You will have:
n
n
A Graduate Diploma of Family Dispute Resolution,



or an appropriate relevant qualification such as Social Work, Psychology, Law, Social or Behavioural Sciences, together with competency in the six compulsory FDR units; or
n
Accreditation under the Australian Mediator and Dispute Resolution Accreditation Standards (AMDRAS) together with competency in the six compulsory FDR units
n
Experience in Family Dispute Resolution and the ability to clearly explain the FDR process to clients
n
The ability to meet ongoing accreditation requirements
n
A current C Class Driver Licence (QLD)
n
n
You will also bring strong communication and interpersonal skills, sound knowledge of conflict resolution and family-focused practice, and the ability to work collaboratively with clients, colleagues and community partners.
