The Opportunity
n An exciting opportunity has become available for an experienced Accounts Payable Officer to join a large, highly regarded privately owned organisation on a 15-month fixed-term contract providing maternity leave cover.
n
Working as part of a collaborative and supportive finance team, this role will suit an experienced AP skilled who enjoys taking ownership of their workload and working in a hands-on environment. The successful candidate will also play an important role in supporting the team through a D365 transition, providing an excellent opportunity to contribute to process improvements and systems optimisation.

The Challenge
n
Reporting to the Finance Manager, the responsibilities will involve but not be limited to:
n
n
Managing the end-to-end accounts payable function
n
Managing a volume of ***** invoices daily, with components of manual data entry
n
Setting up and maintaining existing suppliers and reconciling supplier statements when required
n
Preparing weekly and monthly payment runs and completing ad hoc payments when required
n
Performing bank reconciliations, monthly credit card reconciliations, and monitoring daily cash flow
n
Supporting the team through the transition to D365 and assisting with process improvements
n
Working closely with internal stakeholders and suppliers to resolve queries and ensure timely payments
n
Assisting with ad hoc finance tasks as required
n

The Expertise
n

3-5+ years of experience in an end-to-end accounts payable position
n
Process improvement mindset and ability to take ownership of workload
n
Experience working in a complex processing environment
n
Strong attention to detail and a high level of accuracy
n
Ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines
n
Strong communication skills, with confidence liaising with both internal and external stakeholders
n
Experience with D365, or exposure to a similar ERP system, will be highly regarded
n
Full Australian working rights and comfortable committing to a 15-month fixed-term contract
n
Availability to commence mid-late October
