Caffe Ducale
is a premium Melbourne-owned and operated coffee roaster, combining traditional Italian coffee flavours with the expertise and craftsmanship of Melbourne's specialty coffee scene.

In March ****, Caffe Ducale opened its first new concept café in Melbourne's luxury shopping precinct, Chadstone. The café focuses on both dine-in and take-away high-volume coffee and freshly roasted retail coffee, bringing together premium modern coffee equipment with unique Italian deli-styled architecture and design.

We're looking for a
Head Barista/ 2IC
to join the leadership team of the espresso bar - brewing delicious coffee while helping to lead a passionate barista team and deliver a fun, engaging customer experience.

This Position Offers:
n
• A brand new espresso bar in Chadstone's Market Pavilion
n
• Induction, training and development for those who aspire to learn and grow
n
• Support from an experienced Café Manager, Coffee Roasters & Management team
n
• The chance to manage the coffee program, including training and developing all baristas
n
• Leadership responsibilities as 2IC, supporting the Café Manager in day-to-day operations, including opening & closing, team supervision, and maintaining service standards
n




• Permanent ongoing roles with professional development opportunities

You will be perfect for this role if you have:
n
• A passion for coffee and customer service
n
• Experience in a senior barista role, ideally brewing specialty coffee
n
• High quality barista skills (latte art, dialling in, troubleshooting etc.)
n
• A strong work ethic with a customer-focused attitude
n
• A positive and professional demeanour
n
• Confidence to step into a leadership capacity, guiding and supporting the team in the Café Manager's absence
n

Full availability throughout December, including weekends, public holidays, late-night shopping periods and peak Christmas trade is essential.
