An established compounding pharmacy in Melbourne's eastern suburbs is seeking a dependable technician to join its welcoming, long‐standing team.

This is a technician position, not a pharmacist role. Overseas pharmacist qualifications do not meet the requirements.
Who should apply? n
You must have Australian pharmacy technician qualifications and relevant experience in an Australian pharmacy.

Previous hands‐on experience in an Australian compounding pharmacy is highly desirable. Experienced Pharmacy Dispensary Technicians who are interested in compounding processes are also encouraged to apply.

What you'll be doing n
Working under the direction of the Laboratory Supervisor, your duties may include:
n
n
n
Weighing and mixing raw materials and ingredients.
n
n
Preparing pharmaceutical formulations and batches.
n
n
Preparing and filling capsules and syringes.
n
n
Milling and preparing creams and ointments.
n
n
Following compounding formulas, procedures and quality‐control processes.
n
n
Maintaining accurate documentation and records.
n
n
You will also help keep the laboratory and stockroom running smoothly through:
n
n
n
Stock control and restocking raw materials and laboratory supplies.
n
n
Maintaining Safety Data Sheets (SDS) and quality‐control documentation.
n
n
Washing laboratory glassware and cleaning equipment and workstations.
n
n
Waste management and maintaining a clean, organised, hygienic laboratory.
n
n
Other duties as directed by the Laboratory Supervisor.
