Senior Control Systems & Safety Engineer n
We're looking for an experienced
Senior Control Systems & Safety Engineer
to join our growing team and deliver high-quality
control systems, automation and functional safety solutions
across complex industrial environments.
n
This is a hands-on senior engineering role where you'll work directly with clients, solve complex technical challenges and take ownership of control systems projects from design and development through to commissioning.
What You'll Be Doing n
⚙️ Deliver Complex Engineering Solutions
n
Design, develop, implement and commission advanced control system solutions across complex industrial environments.
n
Work Directly with Clients
n
Understand operational challenges, define requirements and develop explicit, practical scopes of work.
n
️ Engineer Safety Into the Solution
n
Apply functional and machine safety principles throughout the project lifecycle, including hazard analysis, risk assessment, safety lifecycle activities and SIL verification.
n
Own Your Engineering Outcomes
n
Take responsibility for your technical deliverables, ensuring they meet the required standards for quality, safety and performance.
n
Bring Your Technical Expertise
n
Solve complex engineering challenges, provide senior-level technical support and share your knowledge and experience with the wider engineering team.
What You'll Bring n
n
5+ years' control systems engineering experience, ideally within heavy industry, process industries or other complex industrial environments
n
Strong hands-on experience in the design, programming and commissioning of industrial control systems
n
Sound knowledge of automation platforms and industrial communication networks
n




Strong client-facing and stakeholder engagement skills
n
Ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly and practically
n
Experience applying functional and/or machine safety principles in engineering design and commissioning
n
Knowledge of relevant standards including IEC *****, IEC *****, IEC ***** and ISO *****
n
Experience with hazard analysis, risk assessment and SIL verification
n
A proactive approach to engineering, safety, quality and continuous improvement
n
Functional Safety Expertise n
We're particularly interested in experienced Control Systems Engineers who bring additional functional safety capability.
n
Qualifications or certifications such as the following will be highly regarded:
n

FS Engineer (TÜV Rheinland)
n
TÜV SÜD Functional Safety Engineer
n
Graduate Certificate in Safety, Risk and Reliability Engineering
n
Other relevant functional or machine safety qualifications
n
Qualifications n
A Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related engineering discipline is preferred, combined with demonstrated industry experience in control systems and automation.
n
