Job Description
We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Electrician to join our team at our Narre Warren North site
.
This hands-on role is for a licensed electrician with strong mechanical aptitude and a safety-first mindset. The Maintenance Electrician is first responder to breakdowns and works across departments and with external contractors.

Working as part of a collaborative maintenance team, you will play a key role in minimising downtime, improving equipment performance and supporting the day-to-day operations of a fast-paced food production workplace.
Key Responsibilities n
Diagnose and repair faults across mechanical and electrical systems, including conveyors, motors, gearboxes and automated equipment.
n
Respond promptly to equipment breakdowns and implement effective solutions to minimise operational disruption.
n
Carry out preventative and corrective maintenance on plant, machinery, hydraulic systems and site infrastructure.
n
Troubleshoot and maintain automated fruit handling systems, refrigeration equipment and warehouse facilities.
n
Coordinate with suppliers and contractors to source parts, technical support and specialist services when required.
n
Manage spare parts inventory and ensure critical components are readily available.
n
Collaborate with operational teams to identify recurring issues and implement long-term corrective actions.
n
Assist with root cause investigations and continuous improvement initiatives.
n
Develop and maintain maintenance schedules based on equipment performance and operational requirements.
n
Record all maintenance activities accurately, including work orders, service reports and fault logs.
About You n
To be successful in this role, you will bring strong technical expertise, a safety-first mindset and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
n
Elevated Work Platform (EWP) Licence.
n
Demonstrated experience in plant maintenance within manufacturing, agricultural or industrial environments.
n
Experience working with automated equipment and working knowledge of PLC systems.
n
Strong troubleshooting, communication and time management skills.
n
Experience within FMCG, food production or packing operations.
n
Exposure to lean maintenance principles and continuous improvement programs.
n
Experience working in refrigerated warehousing or automated production environments.
