Job Description
n
Reporting into the Payroll Manager, the successful Payroll Officer will be responsible for:
n
n
Processing end-to-end weekly payroll for a national workforce.
n
Managing payroll adjustments, leave administration, salary packaging, and terminations.
n
Completing payroll reconciliations, reporting, and month-end payroll activities.
n
Maintaining employee payroll records, including new starters and leavers.
n
Interpreting awards, enterprise agreements, and relevant payroll legislation.
n
Responding to payroll enquiries and providing support to employees and stakeholders.
n
Supporting payroll system administration and continuous process improvements.
n
Assisting with payroll audits and ensuring ongoing compliance requirements are met.

The Successful Applicant
n
A successful Payroll Officer should have:
n
n
Proven experience in end-to-end payroll processing within a high-volume environment.
n
Strong understanding of payroll legislation, awards, enterprise agreements, and termination calculations.
n
Excellent attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
n
Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and experience working across multiple systems.
n
Robust problem-solving abilities and a commitment to delivering accurate payroll outcomes.
n
Professional communication skills with the ability to build effective stakeholder relationships.
n
A proactive and collaborative approach, with a focus on continuous improvement and process efficiency.
n
Experience with TechnologyOne and/or not-for-profit salary packaging will be highly regarded.
