We are seeking an experienced Reception & Bookings Team Member to join our busy boarding office in Malaga.
n
This is a varied, practical role combining customer service, bookings, administration and animal handling. You will need to communicate clearly, maintain accurate records and manage competing tasks calmly during busy periods.
n
Confidence in handling unfamiliar animals is essential.
About the Role n
Handling enquiries and bookings by phone and email.
n
Providing friendly, professional service to clients.
n
Coordinating pet admissions and departures, including handling animals and liaising with kennel staff about pet placement.
n
Managing customer records and reservations using our custom-built software.
n
Accurately maintaining vaccination information, pet health records and customer details.
n
Providing clients with accurate updates and feedback about their pets' stay, in consultation with kennel staff.
What We're Looking For n
Proven experience in administration, bookings or customer service.
n
Confidence handling unfamiliar animals; previous animal-handling experience is an advantage.
n




Sound knowledge of Microsoft Outlook and general computer systems.
n
A personable approach to customer service and a calm, courteous manner under pressure.
n
Solid organisation, time management and attention to detail.
n
Reliability, professionalism and the ability to work cooperatively with the team.
n
Confidence learning new software and following established procedures.
Hours and Availability n
Availability for
weekday shifts and Saturday mornings is essential
.
n
Normal working hours are:
n
Monday to Friday:
8:00 am-3:00 pm, with possible extension to 4:00 pm.
n
Saturday:
8:00 am-12:00 pm, with possible extension to 1:00 pm.
n
Start and finish times may vary depending on operational requirements. With two office team members in place, there is scope for a rotating roster, potentially including every second Saturday off and/or a weekday off per week.

A starting rate of
$32-$35 per hour
, depending on training and experience.
