CAD Draftsperson | Electronic Systems | Canberra, ACT n

Our client is one fo the largest and most well-known brands in its industry, and looking for an experienced CAD Draftsperson
to join a very large, high-profile Canberra construction project, producing technical and installation drawings for complex electronic systems.
n
n
You do not need to come from a traditional building-services background. What matters is your ability to understand how electronic systems are designed, documented and installed.
n
n
You will need robust
AutoCAD
capability, knowledge of
BIM, Revit or other 3D drafting environments
, and experience documenting electronic, electrical, communications, ICT, security, AV, controls or similar systems.
n
nThe Role n
n
Working with project managers, engineers and technicians, you will:
n
n
n
n
Produce detailed CAD drawings, schematics, system diagrams and installation details
n
n
Prepare equipment layouts, cable routes, wiring diagrams, elevations and block diagrams
n
n
Work with BIM, Revit or other 3D drafting environments
n
n
Develop drawings for construction, installation, commissioning and as-built documentation
n
n
Coordinate electronic systems with architectural, electrical and other project documentation
n
n
Maintain drawing revisions, registers and document-control standards
n
n
Attend site as required to confirm installation conditions and capture as-built information
n
n
n
nAbout You n
n
To be considered, you will need:
n
n
n
n
Professional experience using




AutoCAD or similar CAD software
n
n
Knowledge of BIM, Revit or other 3D drafting environments
n
n
Experience drafting electronic, electrical, communications, ICT, security, AV, controls or similar systems
highly regarded
n
n
Experience producing schematics, installation drawings, equipment layouts or cable routes
n
n
Ability to interpret technical specifications and project drawings
n
n
A practical understanding of electronic systems, cabling and installation
n
n
Strong attention to detail, organisation and communication skills
n
n
A current Australian driver's licence
n
n
n
n
Experience with systems integration, construction coordination, site surveys or as-built documentation would be highly regarded.
n
nSecurity Clearance n
n
Australian Citizens Only:
Due to the nature of the project, applicants must either hold a current
Australian Government NV1 security clearance
or be eligible and willing to obtain one.
n
