Help shape vibrant, connected and thriving places across NSW by leading initiatives that transform public spaces, support communities and create lasting social and economic value.
Lead a multidisciplinary team delivering innovative programs, strategic partnerships and place-based outcomes that make our transport places and centres more welcoming, active and inclusive.
In this role you'll:
Join our Active Transport, Design and Activation branch, reporting to the Director Vibrancy.
Lead the delivery of high-profile placemaking, revitalisation, vibrancy initiatives that enhance public spaces, transport places, streets and centres across NSW.
Drive the Community Improvement Districts program, partnering with councils, businesses and local communities to strengthen the vibrancy, sustainability and economic resilience of local centres.
Oversee strategic grant funding and investment programs that enable communities, businesses and precincts to deliver impactful place-based outcomes.
Champion the Permit/Plug/Play program, making it easier to deliver street-based events, festivals and community activations and bring public spaces to life.




Lead the revitalisation and activation of Transport owned assets and spaces, identifying opportunities for underutilised places and help transform the way communities experience, use and connect with them.
Build influential partnerships across government, local councils, industry and community stakeholders to deliver place-based outcomes.
Provide strategic leadership to a multidisciplinary team of approximately 20 people, while working closely with Ministers and senior executives to shape policy, drive collaboration and deliver tangible community perks.
This is a Temporary Transport Senior Service Executive (TSSE) role with a current end date of 31/08/2027.
There may be a opportunity to extend.

About you
You are a strategic and collaborative leader with experience delivering complex programs, partnerships and place-based initiatives in government, planning, urban design, community development or related environments.
You excel at building stakeholder relationships, influencing senior decision-makers and driving outcomes across complex operating environments.
You are confident advising senior executives and Ministers,



translating complex issues into clear recommendations that inform decision-making and shape policy, program and community outcomes.
With experience leading multidisciplinary teams and managing grants, programs or public policy initiatives, you are passionate about creating vibrant, inclusive and sustainable places that deliver lasting benefits for communities!
