Join Ampcontrol's Environmental Services team and play a key role in delivering high-quality environmental monitoring services across Newcastle, the Central Coast and beyond.
This hands-on position combines field-based monitoring, equipment maintenance, data validation and compliance activities to ensure the reliability and integrity of environmental data for our customers.
As an Environmental Technician, you'll work with a variety of scientific monitoring equipment, support NATA-accredited environmental services, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives that maximise monitoring reliability and data capture rates.

What you'll do
Reporting to the Environmental Services leadership team, your responsibilities will include:
Conducting routine environmental monitoring and field-based data collection activities
Maintaining, calibrating and troubleshooting environmental monitoring equipment
Supporting compliance with NATA accreditation requirements and customer specifications
Participating in data validation and reporting processes
Identifying opportunities to improve monitoring reliability, equipment performance and operational processes
Supporting environmental monitoring projects across Newcastle, the Central Coast and other locations as required
Maintaining high standards of health, safety and environmental compliance
What we're looking for
To be successful in this role,
you will bring:
Previous experience as an Environmental Field Technician or in a similar technical field-based role
Experience working with environmental monitoring instrumentation or scientific equipment
Strong attention to detail and commitment to data quality and accuracy
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
The ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team
Strong understanding of health and safety requirements
A proactive approach to learning and developing technical skills
Reliability, flexibility and a strong work ethic
Current Australian Driver's Licence
Willingness to travel and work remotely when required
