The Properties
Our YHA Cape ByronandYHA Byron Bay properties are more casual, fun spaces with heated pools and great common areas where our guests get to gather and enjoy drinks, meals and BBQs.
We offer great tours and events to our guests and offer surfboards and boogie boards for hire.
Ideally located in the town centre, the properties are walking distance from the beach and cycling paths.
About the role
YHA Cape Byro n (30 rooms) and Byron Bay (60roo ms) are looking for a full-timeShift Managerto join and support the Team.
Reporting to the Property Manager you will get to support the daily operations, ensuring the smooth and efficient running of the properties.
Your focus will include providing exceptional service to our guests, supervising team members, and offering primary support to our Assistant Manager and Property Manager.
What you'll get to do




Promoting a friendly and welcoming atmosphere at the properties and ensuring that the properties are representative of YHA values and mission
Daily operations including check-ins/outs, groups movements, activities and events
Constantly supporting the team to ensure we maintain high standards of hygiene and safety and providing hands on support to the team
Preparing shift reports and communicating relevant information to the Property Manager and other team members.
Acting as the first point of contact in emergency situations, following established protocols and SOPs
What are we looking for
Experience as a Duty Manager, Shift Manager, Front of House Manager or similar
First Aid & CPR Certification is beneficial
Availability for rotating 7day roster
Proven leader with a passion for seeing your team succeed
