What you will be doing
As part of our Home & Garden Services team, you'll help older Australians keep living life their way in the place they call home.
Whether it's mowing a lawn that's getting a little too much to manage, trimming hedges, clearing gutters or helping with jobs around the house, you'll make everyday life feel a little easier.
Working across Bribie Island, Ningi, Sandstone Point and surrounding communities, you'll visit customers in their homes and become a familiar face they can rely on.
Some days you'll work independently, while other days you'll team up with a colleague to get the job done.
Using your own suitable ute to transport equipment, you'll complete a variety of home and garden maintenance tasks including mowing, edging, brush cutting, pruning, weeding, pressure washing, window and gutter cleaning, and helping with those harder-to-reach jobs like ceiling fans, smoke alarms and high cupboards.
The work is hands-on, but the impact goes well beyond a tidy lawn or freshly cleaned gutter.
Every visit helps someone stay safe, connected to their community,
and living independently in the home they know and love.
You will Thrive in this role if you
Love getting to know people and building genuine, lasting connections.
Show up with kindness, reliability and respect, every time.
Genuinely care about helping older Australians keep living life the way they choose.
Have experience in home and garden maintenance, landscaping, property maintenance or a similar role.
Experience in aged care, disability support or community services is highly regarded, but heart, know-how and a willingness to learn matter just as much.
Know how to plan your day, communicate clearly and keep things running smoothly.
Enjoy working independently but are equally happy teaming up when the day calls for it.
Are confident using mobile technology to stay connected and get the job done.
Are comfortable using a wide range of powered garden and maintenance equipment, including mowers, whipper snippers, hedge trimmers, blowers, brush cutters and pressure washers.
Have access to a reliable ute suitable for transporting gardening and maintenance equipment.
Have an enclosed canopy and/or enclosed trailer, or a setup suitable for securely transporting equipment (highly regarded).
Hold a current Australian Driver's Licence and are confident towing and manoeuvring a trailer safely where required.
Have (or are happy to obtain) First Aid, CPR and a National Criminal History Check.
Belonging Starts Here
We believe real care starts with real belonging.
That means creating a workplace where everyone - no matter their background, culture, or story - feels seen, respected, and safe to be themselves.
We welcome applications from First Nations people, the LGBTIQA+ community, people with disabilities, and those from culturally diverse backgrounds.
Your story matters here.
We proudly work across the lands of the Gubbi Gubbi (Gub-bee Gub-bee), Turrbal, Yuggera, Darumbal, Butchulla (Batjala) & Taribelang Bunda peoples, and extend our respect to all Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and communities.
We are committed to creating a culturally safe, inclusive and welcoming workplace for all.
You can still make a big impact.
Volunteering is a great way to give back, connect with your community and support others.
