Norma's Deli is looking for a creative, driven Pastry Chef to join our bakery team and help shape our pastry and cake offering.
Working closely with our Head Baker, you'll create the highest quality pastries and cakes to be sold across our unique venue and catering.
This is a great opportunity to have real input into our menu, from assisting in developing seasonal recipes to bringing fresh ideas to the table.

What you'll be doing
As a pastrychef at Norma's, your day-to-day will look like:
Assisting in developing and planning new recipes for our menu and seasonal offerings
Daily production,



baking and preparation of pastry products for dine-in, takeaway and catering
Making sure every product meets our standards for quality, consistency and presentation
Keeping the bakery spotless, organised and well presented
Ordering, organising and rotating stock, and monitoring ingredient levels
Running cost-effective operations without compromising quality
Assisting in the training and development of junior pastry chefs & kitchen hands
Leading by example on WHS and food safety, including risk assessments, safety inspections and secure work practices
What we're looking for
3+ years' experience as a Pastry Chef or in a similar role
A genuine passion for baking, pastry and cakes
Someone who works brilliantly under pressure
Highly organised, efficient and reliable
A strong commitment to health and hygiene standards
A team player who can both give and take direction
Current First Aid Certificate (or willingness to obtain)
A supportive, passionate team
