Audit and Compliance Officer - APS 6 (Affirmative measure - Disability employment)
We are seeking Audit and Compliance Officers to join our Compliance and Engagement Group.
You will apply your technical expertise, qualified judgement and analytical skills to identify and address tax and superannuation risks, evaluate complex information and deliver fair, consistent and evidence-based outcomes
As an
Audit and Compliance Officer
, you'll work with a diverse range of taxpayers, advisers, employers, industries and communities to support confidence in Australia's tax and superannuation systems.
Depending on the role, you may undertake compliance activities across income tax, GST, superannuation and related matters.
You'll work on complex issues, provide specialist advice and contribute to strategies that support compliance and improve community confidence.
Leadership is a key part of the role.
You may lead teams, mentor others, or provide technical leadership on complex work.
You will build capability, set priorities, foster productive relationships and influence outcomes across the organisation.
Through your expertise, leadership and guidance, you'll help deliver quality outcomes and contribute to a high-performing culture where people can do their best work.
You will build trusted relationships, influence outcomes and help resolve complex issues through practical and principled approaches.
You'll contribute to organisational priorities while helping to maintain the integrity of Australia's tax and superannuation systems.
Whether you're leading a team, delivering complex casework, guiding others through challenging issues or providing specialist advice,
you'll play an important role in delivering outcomes that benefit the Australian community.
This is an opportunity to undertake meaningful and challenging work while continuing to grow your technical, leadership and stakeholder engagement skills in a role that makes a tangible difference.
Successful candidates may be appointed to APS6 Tax Specialist, APS6 Client Engagement Officer, APS6 Client Engagement Manager roles based on organisational requirements and their skills, experience, technical expertise and demonstrated capabilities.
These roles may be offered on an ongoing or non-ongoing basis in
Adelaide, Albury, Box Hill (VIC), Brisbane CBD, Canberra, Dandenong, Geelong, Gosford, Hobart, Melbourne CBD, Moonee Ponds, Newcastle, Parramatta, Penrith, Perth, Sydney CBD, Townsville, Upper Mount Gravatt or Wollongong
.
