As part of our growing infrastructure portfolio, BMD is delivering a landmark transport project that will play a significant role in supporting future growth and connectivity across South East Queensland. To support successful project delivery, we are seeking an experienced
Project Engineer
to join the team.
n
This role will initially be based in our Brisbane project office during the planning and mobilisation phase before transitioning to a Sunshine Coast site-based position as construction activities progress. Applicants should currently reside in Brisbane or the Sunshine Coast, or be willing to relocate to the Sunshine Coast.
Key Responsibilities n
n
Maintain strong HSEQ awareness and ensure compliance across all project activities
n
Coordinate and oversee construction activities in accordance with project requirements
n
Monitor construction programs and drive performance against key project milestones
n
Manage subcontractor and supplier engagement, including procurement, negotiation and contract administration
n
Support the preparation and review of project forecasts, budgets and cost reports
n
Identify and manage project risks, variations and contractual obligations
n
Coordinate the preparation and review of work packs, methodologies, ITPs and project documentation
n
Assist with design management and the resolution of construction-related issues
n
Maintain strong relationships with clients, consultants and key project stakeholders
n
Coordinate project meetings, planning activities and site interfaces
n
Support financial performance through effective cost control and commercial management
n
Drive productivity and construction outcomes across complex infrastructure works
n
About You n
n
Degree qualified in Civil Engineering or a related discipline
n
Demonstrated experience as a Project Engineer delivering infrastructure or civil construction projects
n
Experience working for a principal contractor
n
Strong understanding of construction methodologies, project planning and project controls
n
Experience managing subcontractors, suppliers and site-based work crews
n
Sound knowledge of contract administration, cost control and commercial project delivery
n
Ability to identify, manage and mitigate project risks
n
Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills
n
High level of organisation, planning and attention to detail
n
Commitment to safety, quality and environmental outcomes
n
Willingness to transition to a Sunshine Coast site-based role as project delivery progresses
n
