This is a unique opportunity to combine hands‐on engineering expertise with strategic asset management, helping drive reliability, efficiency, and future-focused maintenance practices across multiple sites.
Reporting to the National Manager, Bandag Factories, you'll be responsible for ensuring our manufacturing assets operate safely, reliably, and efficiently.
You'll lead preventative and predictive maintenance initiatives, provide technical expertise during breakdowns and major overhauls, and help shape the future of maintenance through data-driven decision making and emerging technologies.
This role can be based at either our Salisbury (SA) or Wacol (QLD) facility and will require frequent travel to work closely with operational teams, contractors, suppliers, and stakeholders across Australia and New Zealand.
What You'll be Doing
Developing and implementing preventative and predictive maintenance programs
Driving asset reliability and minimising manufacturing downtime
Diagnosing complex equipment issues and supporting major repairs
Managing maintenance schedules, critical spares, and contractor performance
Monitoring asset performance and producing technical maintenance reports
Supporting continuous improvement initiatives across manufacturing operations
Leveraging maintenance data, predictive technologies, AI, and machine learning opportunities to improve reliability
Ensuring compliance with safety, regulatory, and maintenance standards
Championing Bridgestone's commitment to safety and sustainability
What You'll Bring
Extensive experience in manufacturing maintenance and asset management
Robust knowledge of mechanical and pneumatic equipment within high-volume industrial environments
Experience leading or participating in major plant shutdowns, overhauls, and maintenance projects
Degree or qualification in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline (desirable)
Exceptional troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
Strong reporting, planning, and stakeholder management capabilities
Exposure to predictive maintenance systems, data analytics, machine learning, or Industry 4.0 technologies will be highly regarded
Knowledge of safety, compliance, and factory facility requirements
