We have an exciting chance available for an experienced Law Clerk with demonstrated experience in Family Law to join our growing team.
The successful applicant will already have: n
n
Fast and accurate typing skills;
n
Excellent written and verbal communication skills;
n
Professional and compassionate approach towards staff, clients, counsel and court staff;
n
Fast learner who is confident in using a range of legal and office based software;
n
Previous experience as a Law Clerk, Paralegal or Legal Assistant in Family Law;
n
A substantial comprehension of family law processes and court procedures;
n
Strong drafting and written communication skills;
n
Exceptional organisation and file management skills;
n
Ability to prioritise matters effective and meet deadlines;
n
Attention to detail; and
n
Able to work as part of a team environment as well as independently;
n
Should you be successful, you will be responsible for: n
n
Liaising with clients, counsel, courts, experts and other solicitors via telephone,



teams, email and in person;
n
Diary management for conferences, court dates and deadlines the Family Law solicitors;
n
Preparing and drafting correspondence, court documents, affidavits and other legal documents;
n
Preparing and filing documents in the Federal Circuit and Family Court of Australia;
n
Managing family law files from initial instructions to completion of matters;
n
Reviewing and compiling disclosure material;
n
Assisting counsel and solicitors to prepare for court appearances;
n
Conducting legal and factual research; and
n
Maintaining accurate electronic files and records.
