The Boatshed Market is known for exceptional fresh produce, specialty foods and warm, personal service. We're looking for an experienced Duty Manager to help lead our customer-facing teams and uphold the high service standards our customers know and love.

About the Role:
n
As a Duty Manager, you'll play a hands-on leadership role on the floor, supporting daily operations and acting as a key link between staff and management. This is a fast-paced role suited to someone who thrives in a premium retail or hospitality environment and enjoys leading by example.
n
Australian work authorisation is required at the time of application.
n
Key responsibilities:
n
Supervising front of house operations during closing shifts.
n
Leading, motivating and supporting our Department Managers and customer facing employees.
n
Delivering outstanding customer service and resolving issues confidently.
n
Managing daily opening and closing procedures.
n
Supporting staff training, onboarding and performance standards.
n
Ensuring presentation,



cleanliness and service flow meet Boatshed standards.
n
Assisting management with rosters, communication and operational improvements.
n
About You:
n
Previous experience in a retail management position
n
Exposure to POS and front-of-house systems and equipment
n
Robust leadership and communication skills
n
A calm, professional approach under pressure.
n
High attention to detail and presentation.
n
A genuine passion for customer experience and food-focused environments
n
Experience in grocery/food retail, premium retail, or hospitality environments is essential
n
