Olsen Place Pharmacy is seeking a talented
Pharmacist Intern ****
to join our team in Broadmeadows, VIC. This is an exciting
full-time position
that offers you the opportunity to gain practical, hands-on experience in community pharmacy practice whilst completing your pharmacy internship requirements. As a Pharmacist Intern, you will work alongside our experienced pharmacy team in a supportive and dynamic environment, developing the clinical and professional skills essential for your future career as a registered pharmacist. This role is fundamental to your transition from student to practising pharmacy professional, providing you with invaluable exposure to real-world patient care, dispensing operations and pharmacy management.
Key responsibilities n
Assist in the preparation and dispensing of prescriptions under the supervision of a registered pharmacist, ensuring accuracy and adherence to pharmaceutical standards

Provide basic advice and support to customers regarding over-the-counter medications and general health enquiries
n
Maintain accurate pharmacy records and documentation in compliance with regulatory requirements
n
Support the pharmacy team with stock management, including receiving, checking and storing pharmaceutical products
n
Assist with the maintenance of pharmacy systems and databases, ensuring information is current and accurate
n
Learn and apply infection control and workplace health and safety procedures
n
Engage with patients and customers in a professional and courteous manner, contributing to positive customer experience
n
Participate in routine pharmacy operations and administrative tasks as directed by the supervising pharmacist
n
Observe and support the delivery of pharmacy services, including medication reviews and health screening where appropriate
n
Contribute to the development of professional practice skills and knowledge required for pharmacy registration
What we're looking for n
Currently enrolled in or having recently completed an accredited pharmacy degree programme in Australia
n
Eligible to undertake a pharmacy internship as recognised by the Pharmacy Board of Australia
n
Strong understanding of pharmacy practice principles with clinical focus
n
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy, particularly with respect to medication dispensing and record-keeping
n
Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively as part of a healthcare team
n
Good communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with patients, customers and colleagues, preferably with multilingual skill
n
Commitment to continuous learning and professional development within the pharmacy profession
n
Reliable, conscientious and proactive approach to work responsibilities
n
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced community pharmacy environment
n
Knowledge of pharmacy computer systems and willingness to develop technical competencies (training will be provided)
n
Current or pending Working with Children clearance where required by legislation
