Job Description
The Chance:

Newcastle Anglican has a great opportunity for a Payroll Officer to join the team. Reporting to the Payroll Team Leader, you will be responsible for the provision of quality and consistent
payroll/administrative
activities and support to Newcastle Anglican, employees and other related parties. This role works as an integral part of the People & Culture team.

Role & Responsibilities:
n
n
Provide information and assistance to staff, by all forms of correspondence
n
Undertake administrative duties as required including but not limited to, scanning, emailing, photocopying, typing, document production, data entry, record keeping and filing
n
Accurately maintain personnel records
n
Provide accurate payroll reports
n
Assist in the preparation and processing of the fortnightly pay run, including checking timesheets, within the required deadlines
n
Prepare, process, and report on workers compensation claims,
including reviewing and reconciling of reimbursement schedules
n
Process employee terminations, including providing employees with certificates of service when required
n
Positively contribute to teamwork and embrace a co-operative approach to achieving outcomes
n
Provide support across all Newcastle Anglican teams as required
n

About you?
n
n
Qualifications in payroll or 2 years payroll experience in a similar role
n
High proficiency in payroll data entry, including experience working in a high transaction volume environment
n
Demonstrated competence with payroll systems and processes
n
Demonstrated knowledge and application of confidentiality principles
n
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
n
Demonstrated time management skills and an ability to prioritise tasks
n
Experience with multiple awards and enterprise agreements
n
Experience in using Preceda
n
Experience in using Emplive or an equivalent time & attendance system
n
