About the Role
n
Join our supportive Financial Services team as an Accounts Receivable Officer and play a key role in our School community. We are looking for a dependable team player for this permanent, part time position (20 hours per week) to help deliver reliable billing, proactive debtor management, and smooth daily operations.
n
Reporting to the Accounts Receivable & Payroll Team Leader, you will thrive in a collaborative environment where team success comes first, contributing to high-standard financial management while upholding the School's Purpose and Concerns.

Key Focus Areas
n
Invoicing & Account Maintenance
n
n
Prepare and process invoices for tuition fees, levies, scholarships, bursaries, and authorised sundry charges.
n
Maintain and update accounts receivable information using Synergetic and MYOB Advanced.
n
Calculate repayment plans and annual direct debit amounts.
n
n
Reconciliation & Ledger Management
n
n
Complete daily bank reconciliations and end-of-month account reconciliations.
n
Maintain and reconcile student sub-ledgers and assist with general ledger account reconciliations.
n
Prepare and post required journals.
n
n
Debtor Management & Collections
n
n
Manage accounts receivable collections in collaboration with the Team Leader.
n
Respond to queries, resolve discrepancies, and manage the Accounts Receivable fees inbox.
n
n
Reporting & Team Support
n
n
Prepare financial reports and external surveys as required.
n
Provide relief and support to the Payroll & Accounts Receivable Team Leader.
n
Participate in team meetings and contribute to continuous improvement of financial systems and processes.
n
Understanding of the 10 National Child Safe Standards.
n
Strong experience in MYOB and accounts receivable processes, including debtor management.
n
Excellent time management and ability to prioritise workflow in a deadline-driven environment.
n
High level of professionalism, confidentiality, and interpersonal skills.
n
Ability to work safely in a school environment and meet the inherent requirements of the role.
n
Current Tasmanian Working with Vulnerable People registration (employment) and a recent National Police Check.
n
