Compound Surf & Drink Coffee is a specialty coffee bar and lifestyle retail space in Coolum Beach. We serve high-quality specialty coffee in a fun, community-focused, surf-inspired environment.

The Role:
n
We're looking for a capable, experienced barista who can handle high-volume service while maintaining specialty standards. You'll be dialing in espresso, preparing batch brew, and helping create a welcoming space for our local community.

Hours:
n
***** hours per week to start, with potential to grow.
n
Must be available at least one weekend day.
n
What You'll Do:
n
Dial in and serve a range of specialty coffees, including espresso and batch brew.
n
Greet and serve customers.
n
Work efficiently during high-volume periods without compromising quality.
n
Deliver friendly, genuine customer service.
n
Maintain a clean, organised, and safe workspace.
n
Support the team and help build a strong community vibe.
n
About You:
n
Calm under pressure, proactive, and reliable.
n
Passionate about coffee and connecting with the community.
n
Available for at least one weekend day each week.
n
Preferred but not a must
n
- Minimum 1 year specialty coffee experience (high-volume preferred).
n
- Confident on espresso machines and grinders, and comfortable adjusting recipes.
n
- Skilled in preparing batch brew and other filter methods.
n
