Project Manager – Commercial Fit-Out

Core Talent is exclusively supporting an established and growing commercial interiors business is looking for an experienced
Project Manager
to join its Perth team.
With a strong pipeline of work and continued growth, this is an opportunity to take genuine ownership of projects and play a key role in how the business delivers moving forward.
You'll manage commercial fit-out and refurbishment projects from
pre-construction and procurement through to practical completion and defects close-out
working closely with the Site Supervisor, Contract Administrator, design team, subcontractors and clients.
The Role
You'll be responsible for the successful delivery of multiple commercial projects, with responsibilities including:
Managing projects typically valued from
$500k to $10m
Developing and managing construction programmes, procurement schedules and project milestones
Reviewing drawings and specifications for buildability and identifying issues prior to site commencement
Managing subcontractors across programme, scope, quality and performance
Scoping and letting trade packages and supporting tendering and procurement
Managing project budgets, cost reporting and forecast cost to completion
Overseeing variations, RFIs, site instructions, claims and commercial documentation
Running site, client, consultant and landlord meetings
Working closely with internal design and external consultants to resolve technical issues
Providing regular progress reporting to clients and senior management
Maintaining WHS,
quality and compliance requirements throughout delivery
Managing practical completion, handover, defects and project close-out
Leading the project team and working closely with the Site Supervisor
About You
You'll ideally bring:
Experience delivering commercial fit-out or construction projects
Recent Australian construction experience
Commercial fit-out/refurbishment experience highly regarded
Solid subcontractor and trade-package management experience
Sound understanding of budgets, cost reporting, variations and contract administration
Experience with estimating, tendering and procurement
Ability to develop and manage construction programmes
Strong understanding of architectural and building services documentation
Confidence dealing directly with clients, consultants and subcontractors
Strong commercial awareness alongside hands-on project delivery capability
A relevant Construction Management, Building or Engineering qualification is preferred
White Card and Australian driver's licence
We're also interested in speaking with experienced Senior Contract Administrators ready to step into Project Management, provided you have strong site exposure, commercial capability and experience taking ownership of project delivery.
