Project Information
The Logan and Gold Coast Faster Rail Project will double the number of rail tracks on a 20 kilometre section of the Beenleigh and Gold Coast lines, between Kuraby and Beenleigh.
Works include station upgrades with new pedestrian bridges, level crossing removals and a new multi-storey carpark at Beenleigh.
The corridor will connect people and places across South East Queensland.
About the Opportunity
You will report to the Sustainability Lead and own sustainability data, monitoring and reporting across the project.
Work with delivery, design, procurement and project teams to build sustainability into design and construction, and guide carbon and resource efficiency measures.
You will audit performance, align the project with standards such as ISC and Green Star, and represent it with community groups, the client and key stakeholders.
This role offers autonomy, exposure across design and construction and a clear view of how sustainable outcomes get built into major rail infrastructure.
Key accountabilities
Develop and implement sustainability strategies aligned to project objectives
Embed sustainability in design and construction with project teams
Monitor and report sustainability performance, compliance and financial value
Identify and implement carbon, waste and resource efficiency opportunities
Conduct sustainability audits and align the project with ISC and Green Star
Engage community groups, the client and stakeholders on sustainability outcomes
Champion safety and meet all legal and regulatory requirements
Required Skills and Competencies
Degree in sustainability, architecture, engineering or science
Construction industry experience in a sustainability-focused role
Knowledge of sustainability legislation and the ISC Rating Scheme
Carbon reduction, data analysis and technical reporting skills
Preferred: lead auditor training and/or experience
