This is a rare opportunity to shape geotechnical strategy across multiple orebodies, mining methods and stages of mine life while working closely with operational and technical leaders.You'll play a key role in ground control management, geotechnical risk assessment, mine design reviews and operational decision-making.
Working across both established and growing operations, you'll influence how we manage geotechnical performance, support safe production outcomes and help guide the next generation of geotechnical professionals.The role offers broad exposure to remnant mining, seismic ground conditions, major underground infrastructure, mine expansion projects and narrow-vein stoping environments,



providing the variety and technical challenge that experienced geotechnical engineers seek.
You'll have the chance to mentor site geotechnical teams, contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and help shape the future direction of our geotechnical function.Roster: 8/6, 12 hours (Dayshift only)Location: Peak Mine, Cobar NSWTravel optionsResidents enjoy a balanced roster and the opportunity to settle into the family-friendly township of Cobar.
Relocation support is available, along with a residential allowanceDIDO if you live within an 800km radius of the Mine site which includes a travel allowanceFIFO from Brisbane, Sydney or MelbourneQualifications and experienceBachelor's degree in Geotechnical Engineering, Mining Engineering, or a related fieldSignificant geotechnical experience in an underground mining environmentProven experience mentoring, supporting, and guiding junior engineers or technical staffStrong collaborative mindset, with the ability to work effectively across cross-functional teamsSkilled in geotechnical design, QA/QC, and ground control systemsProficient in Rocscience suite, Dips, or UNWEDGE; experience with Deswik CAD is an advantageConfident and clear communicator with well-developed technical reporting and presentation skillsCommitted to fostering a positive,
