Happy Faces Disability Support is seeking a reliable, compassionate and experienced
female Disability Support Worker
to join our team, primarily working active overnight shifts within a supported living environment.
About the Role n
Our active overnight staff play an important role in maintaining the safety, wellbeing and comfort of the people we support throughout the night.
n
The role includes providing direct support when required, completing scheduled monitoring and checks, responding appropriately to changes in presentation and ensuring all required documentation is completed accurately.
n
Duties may include:
n
Completing scheduled participant checks and monitoring throughout the night.
n
Providing personal care and assistance as required.
n
Supporting participants with repositioning, continence care and other overnight needs.
n
Monitoring for changes in health, behaviour or general presentation and escalating concerns appropriately.
n
Following individual care plans, behaviour support plans, health management plans and organisational procedures.
n
Assisting with two-person supports when required.
n




Completing all required charts, progress notes and handover documentation before the end of the shift.
About You n
We are looking for someone who is dependable and understands that overnight disability support requires the same level of attention and professionalism as a daytime shift.
n
You will need to be confident working overnight, able to use initiative and comfortable responding appropriately if a participant's health or support needs change.
n
The successful applicant will ideally have:
n
Previous experience in disability support, aged care, health care or a similar role.
n
Experience working active overnight shifts.
n
Robust observation and communication skills.
n

A calm and professional approach.
n
Excellent reliability and punctuality.
n
The ability to follow care plans, clinical instructions and management directives.
n
An understanding of professional boundaries and participant confidentiality.
