Role Overview
n
The OT Engineer is responsible for designing,
n implementing, supporting, and optimizing Operational Technology systems that
n enable the secure and reliable operation of electricity transmission and
n distribution networks. The role focuses on SCADA, EMS/DMS, substation
n automation, communication networks, cybersecurity, and integration between OT
n and IT environments to ensure grid reliability, operational efficiency, and regulatory
n compliance.

Key Responsibilities
n
OT Systems Engineering &
n Support
n
n
Manage
n and support OT platforms including SCADA, ADMS, DMS, EMS, OMS, and
n Historian systems.
n
Configure,
n maintain, and troubleshoot RTUs, PLCs, IEDs, HMI, and substation
n automation systems.
n
Support
n real-time monitoring and control of transmission and distribution network
n assets.
n
Perform
n system upgrades, patching, testing, and deployment activities.
n
n
Network & Communications
n
n
Manage
n OT communication networks including MPLS, fiber, microwave, radio, and
n TCP/IP-based protocols.
n
Support
n integration of substations, distributed energy resources, and field
n devices.
n
Ensure
n high availability and resilience of OT communications infrastructure.
n
n
Grid Modernization &
n Integration
n
n
Support
n implementation of Smart Grid, DER, AMI, and Energy Management initiatives.
n
Integrate
n operational systems with enterprise applications and cloud platforms where
n required.




n
Participate
n in digital transformation and modernization programs.
n
n
OT Cybersecurity
n
n
Implement
n and maintain OT cybersecurity controls aligned with organizational and
n regulatory standards.
n
Support
n vulnerability assessments, security monitoring, incident response, and audit
n activities.
n
Ensure
n compliance with industry regulations and cybersecurity frameworks.
n
n
Project Delivery
n
n
Participate
n in project design, architecture reviews, testing, commissioning, and
n cutover activities.
n
Develop
n technical documentation, operational procedures, and support models.
n
Collaborate
n with business, operations, engineering, and vendor teams.

Knowledge
n of electricity market operations and grid reliability requirements is
n desirable.

Qualifications

Bachelor's
n Degree in Electrical Engineering,
Telecommunications,
Automation, Computer
n Engineering, or equivalent.
n
Industry
n certifications such as:

n Schneider, Siemens, Hitachi Energy, ABB, OSI, or Advanced Distribution
n Management Systems (ADMS).
