Job Description
As Workshop Manager / Supervisor, you will be responsible for the day-to-day running of the workshop, coordinating staff, managing workflow and ensuring jobs are completed safely, efficiently and to a high standard.

Key responsibilities
n
Supervising and coordinating workshop staff
n
Planning and allocating daily jobs and workloads
n
Managing workshop production and deadlines
n
Overseeing fabrication, welding and assembly work
n
Site visits to plan, measure jobs.
n
Ensuring work is completed to drawings, specifications and quality standards
n
Providing guidance and support to apprentices and tradespeople
n
Monitoring materials, stock and workshop equipment
n
Liaising with management, clients and other team members
n
Identifying and resolving production issues
n
Maintaining a clean, organised and efficient workshop
n
About you
n
Has strong experience in boilermaking, welding,



and metal fabrication
n
Has previous experience supervising or leading a workshop team
n
Is organised and able to manage multiple jobs at once
n
Has excellent attention to detail
n
Can read and understand workshop drawings
n
Is confident communicating with staff, management and customers
n
Can lead by example and maintain a positive team setting
n
Has a strong commitment to safety and quality
n
Is reliable, punctual and takes pride in their work
n
