As the Sterilisation Services Educator, you will have the opportunity to shape staff capability through engaging education, in-house training and ongoing professional development, while developing and maintaining training resources and records.
Working closely with the Sterilisation Services Manager, you will assess and respond to staff education needs, support competency and compliance with departmental procedures, statutory requirements and relevant standards, and help create a culture of learning, consistency and excellence.
This is an exciting opportunity to help build a skilled, confident and competent team as we establish our new department and prepare for the future of perioperative services.
Shoalhaven Memorial Hospital is the main referral hospital for the Shoalhaven region , providing emergency care, medical, surgical, mental health and orthopaedic services.
The hospital has an Intensive Care Unit focusing on ventilated, high dependency and coronary patients, Children's Ward and Maternity Unit, as well as a purpose-built regional Cancer Care Centre.
The hospital is currently undergoing a significant $440M redevelopment that will redefine how healthcare is delivered within the Region.
Once complete in ****, the current seven-storey Acute Services Building and refurbishments on the current hospital site will bring a focus on career development.

Within this redevelopment, a purpose-designed Mental Health Inpatient Unit will open for the first time at Shoalhaven Memorial Hospital,
providing local consumers with access to comprehensive inpatient mental health care closer to home.

Applicable vaccination requirements for a Category A role.
Cert IV in Training and Assessment or enrolled with academic transcript evidence of course progression.
Current experience in all areas of the Sterilisation Services Department in an acute hospital setting, including Loan and Endoscope reprocessing
