Job Description About the role n
The Student and Academic Services Manager is a leadership position responsible for the efficient and high-quality delivery of student and academic administrative processes, student experience programs and management of a service-oriented Student and Academic Services team. This position reports to the Academic Director and is a member of the College Senior Executive Team
Key Responsibilities n
n
Provide effective leadership, management and supervision to teams supporting activities within the student life cycle, including: orientation, enrolment, timetabling, exams, results, student progression, scholarships, graduation
n
Provide oversight of the student information management system
n
Ensure accuracy in data reporting to the Australian government via the TCSI portal
n
Partnerwith academic and professional staff across the College and the University to facilitate collaboration and achieve strategic objectives
n
Leverage expert knowledge to guide staff on relevant legislation, policy and reporting requirements
n
Identify and implement opportunities for continuous improvement in student and academic services
n
Oversee student experience programs
n
Qualifications Essential Selection Criteria: n

n
Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks, meet deadlines, and balance competing priorities.
n
n
Excellent attention to detail, proofreading, and data accuracy skills.
n
n
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to relate well to students and colleagues.
n
n
Problem-solving skills with the ability to resolve routine issues independently.
n
n
Demonstrated advanced level proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite, particularly in using Excel to analyse data and create reports.
n
n
Demonstrated IT literacy, including working with student information systems, databases, or CRM systems.
n
n
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
n
n
A strong sense of responsibility and commitment to supporting student success.
n
n
n
n
A tertiary qualification (degree or equivalent).
n
n
Previous experience in the higher education pathway sector in a student services or academic administration role.
n
