ABOUT THE ROLE
n
As an NDD / Hydro Excavation, Jet Vac and Drain Cleaning Operator, you will be an integral part of our Melbourne team, delivering non-destructive excavation, hydro excavation, sewer, stormwater and drain cleaning, blockage clearing and pipeline condition assessments on water, sewer and stormwater infrastructure.

Your day-to-day responsibilities may include:
n
Operating NDD / Hydro Excavation trucks, Jet Vac trucks and drain cleaning units safely and professionally
n Performing pipeline cleaning, drain cleaning and blockage clearing on sewer and stormwater networks
n Performing hydro excavation and non-destructive digging to locate underground assets
n Working on water, sewer and stormwater infrastructure projects
n Adhering to all safety, quality and environmental procedures
n Carrying out routine equipment checks and basic maintenance
n Working closely with Supervisors, project teams and clients to deliver works on time and to specification
n Completing required paperwork, reporting and documentation
n Supporting the wider Utilities team when required

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
n
We're looking for people who bring the right attitude, experience and commitment to safety.
n
You'll ideally have:
n
Proven experience operating NDD / Hydro Excavation, Jet Vac or drain cleaning trucks
n HR or MR license
n White Card (Construction Induction) – essential
n Confined Space Entry ticket – highly regarded
n HPWJ ticket – highly regarded
n An understanding of water, sewer and drainage systems
n A strong safety mindset and attention to detail
n Excellent communication skills
n Reliability and a strong work ethic
n The ability to work independently and within a team




n The flexibility to work across different projects and locations
n
Previous experience working for water authorities or on civil infrastructure projects will be highly regarded.
