MyPeople Disability and Support – Preston VICLocation: Preston VIC **** and surroundsWe are seeking reliable and experienced Disability Support Workers across Preston VIC **** (and surrounds) and the surrounding areas to provide ongoing support for our NDIS participants.We have ongoing work available across a range of locations, with hours and schedules varying by participant.
Shifts and support types vary depending on individual needs, and we will match you with work that suits your availability, skills and preferred area.This is a outstanding opportunity for someone who is compassionate, reliable and professional, and enjoys making a genuine difference in the lives of people within the disability sector.Personal care, including showering, dressing and groomingAssistance with daily living tasks and domestic assistanceCommunity access — supporting participants to attend appointments, social outings and activitiesAssistance with meal preparationSupport with daily planning, decision-making and budgetingTransport assistance to and from appointments and activitiesCompanionship and social supportAssisting participants to build skills and independence in line with their goalsAll tasks are performed in line with the participant's preferences, routine and care plan, with the focus on supporting their independence wherever possible.About youReliable and punctualExperienced in disability support,



aged care, or a related fieldComfortable working independently in a participant's home and communityFriendly, respectful and professionalRespectful of participant choice, control and privacyAble to remain calm and adaptable in a range of situationsAvailable for ongoing workRequirementsPrevious experience in disability support, aged care, nursing or a related field highly desirableFull Australian working rightsCurrent NDIS Worker Screening Check, or willingness to obtain oneCurrent First Aid and CPR certificate, or willingness to obtainReliable transport and current driver's licenceExperience working with NDIS participants is highly desirable.
