Armajun Aboriginal Health Service – Inverell NSWThe Finance Officer provides high-quality, reliable financial administration and accounting support to the Armajun Aboriginal Health Service.
Operating under the direction of the Chief Financial Officer (CFO), the role is responsible for processing accounts payable/receivable, assisting with fortnightly payroll, performing bank reconciliations, and supporting month-end financial reporting.
This position contributes directly to maintaining strong financial governance in support of healthcare delivery across the local Aboriginal community.Key responsibilitiesProcess supplier invoices, match purchase orders, batch payments, and maintain vendor recordsGenerate debtor invoices and monitor outstanding receivablesAssist with fortnightly payroll processing, staff timesheet verification, leave record updates, and salary packaging administration supportPerform regular bank reconciliations, process general ledger entries, manage petty cash acquittals, and resolve account discrepancies promptlyAssist the CFO with month-end and year-end procedures, audit preparation, financial record archiving, and statutory compliance trackingProvide general administrative support within the finance team, respond to finance inquiries, and execute other duties as directed by the CFOAbout youHigh attention to detail and accuracy in processing financial transactions, data entry,
