Our department is led by an Accredited Family Law Specialist and acts on a broad range of property and parenting matters, many of them complex.
You will work closely with our lawyers and be trusted with the day-to-day progress of files.This is a full time role based in our Mermaid Beach office.Key responsibilitiesDrafting family law documents including Initiating Applications, Responses, Financial Statements, Affidavits and Consent Orders, Financial Agreements, Child Support AgreementsPreparing and collating financial disclosure, briefs to counsel and subpoenasFiling documents through the Commonwealth Courts Portal and managing court deadlinesPreparing correspondence and liaising with clients, the other side, counsel, experts and the courtsOpening, managing,



closing and archiving files in our practice management systemDiary management and coordinating appointments and meetingsTrust receipting and end of month billingSupporting the broader team with administrative tasks as requiredAbout youAt least 3 years' experience as a family law paralegal (essential)Working knowledge of Federal Circuit and Family Court of Australia procedureMeticulous attention to detail and excellent written communicationA calm, empathetic and discreet approach with clients going through a difficult timeWell presented with an excellent phone mannerThe ability to use your initiative, prioritise your workload and meet strict deadlinesAccurate typing and strong Microsoft Office skillsExperience with LEAP is highly regarded but not essentialAbout usMarino Law is a leading, multi-award winning, full-service law firm based in Mermaid Beach on the Gold Coast, servicing clients Australia-wide.
