n About the Role
n We are seeking an organised and proactive Purchasing Officer to join our Melbourne Operations team.
n Reporting to the Materials Planning Manager at our Hallam manufacturing site (Initial training at Boronia
n site), you will play a critical role in ensuring the timely procurement and delivery of materials and services
n required to support production schedules and customer commitments.
n This is a fast-paced position requiring strong supplier management, problem-solving skills, and the ability
n to effectively coordinate with internal stakeholders and external suppliers to maintain uninterrupted
n production.

n Key Responsibilities
n • Expedite materials and services to meet production schedules and customer requirements.
n • Manage purchase order delivery dates and proactively follow up overdue orders.
n • Monitor production shortage reports and take action to prevent supply disruptions.
n • Liaise with Production and Spare Parts teams to identify and resolve material shortages.
n • Raise and manage purchase orders in accordance with company authority levels.
n • Identify alternative supply solutions when delivery risks arise.
n • Recommend alternative suppliers to improve supply continuity and performance.
n • Maintain optimal inventory levels while supporting business and production demands.
n Qualification and experience
n • Minimum 3 years' experience in a manufacturing environment.
n • Experience in purchasing, supply chain, procurement, or materials planning.
n • Strong understanding of supply chain and material flow processes.
n • Experience working with ERP/MRP systems (D365 experience highly regarded).
n • Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
n • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
n • Advanced Microsoft Excel and computer literacy skills.
n • Ability to work autonomously, manage competing priorities, and perform under pressure.
n • Purchasing or Supply Chain qualifications will be highly regarded but are not essential
