You'll be part of a supportive and team-oriented team that delivers service excellence and can make a meaningful difference to the lives of our community.About the roleAs our Home Library Service Librarian, you'll help ensure everyone in our community can access library services by coordinating Glen Eira Libraries' Home Library Service, connecting customers with books, resources and information that support lifelong learning, wellbeing and social connection.You'll build strong relationships with customers, understand their interests and reading preferences, and curate personalised collections delivered directly to their homes.Working closely with colleagues across the library network and community partners, you'll help shape and improve a service that responds to the evolving needs of our community.Other responsibilities include:Coordinating personalised library collections, customer profiles and delivery services for Home Library Service customersPromoting and supporting access to digital resources, eResources and emerging library technologiesBuilding partnerships and delivering outreach activities that strengthen community connection and awareness of library servicesProviding excellent customer service across the library network, including rostered desk shifts and branch support as requiredAbout youYou are passionate about delivering inclusive and customer-focused services that make a meaningful difference to people's lives.
You enjoy building relationships, understanding individual needs and connecting people with information, resources and opportunities to stay engaged with their community.You are organised,



adaptable and are comfortable working independently while also collaborating with colleagues and community partners to improve services and create positive outcomes for customers.The following is also required:Degree qualification recognised by the Australian Library and Information Association (ALIA), or a qualification relevant to the role with relevant experience, or a diploma qualification with extensive experienceExperience coordinating a home library service or delivering customer-focused library servicesDemonstrated experience providing high-quality customer serviceStrong knowledge of digital resources and technologies, with the ability to support others to use them confidentlyExperience delivering outreach programs or community engagement activitiesThe ability to work weekdays, evenings and weekends across any Glen Eira library branch.Not meeting all the requirements for this role?
