As an Allied Health Assistant, you will work alongside Allied Health Professionals to support patient care, promote independence and contribute to positive occupational and therapeutic outcomes.About the roleReporting to the Allied Health Inpatient Rehabilitation Manager and working under the direction of Allied Health Professionals, the Allied Health Assistant provides patient care and therapy support to assist patients in achieving greater independence and improved outcomes.Providing specific therapeutic interventions and assisting with patient therapy under the direction of Allied Health Professionals.Assisting patients with transport, preparation, personal care,



movement and physical tasks associated with therapy interventions.Maintaining accurate patient documentation and therapy-related databases as directed.Monitoring patient responses to therapy and reporting relevant information to supervising Allied Health Professionals.About youMust be eligible for or be willing to undertake a Certificate 3 in Allied Health Assistance or equivalentAbility to work under close supervision and direction from Allied Health ProfessionalsAbility to act responsibly in an emergency situation, with an ability to competently undertake pool rescue protocol per the division's proceduresPrevious relevant experience with patient care or experience working with people of varying degrees of disability and/or backgroundsPlease see the attached Role Description for additional information.The attached role description/s are currently under review and may be adjusted prior to appointment.
