We are looking for an experienced, proactive, caring Case Worker within a professional team that engages directly with women, children and support services in the Penrith LGA.
Reporting to the Client Services Manager – this role will provide trauma informed case management support to women with or without accompanying children.
Through a strong outreach model that engages directly with women, children and support services in the Penrith LGA, clients will be actively supported to address their needs to meet their planned goals.

Salary type: Award Classification: Social, Community, Home Care & Disability Services Industry Award **** (SCHADS) Crisis Accommodation Level 2, Pay Point 1

Women's Community Shelters (WCS) was established in **** to build community capacity and response to women's homelessness, including domestic and family violence.
WCS works with communities to establish new shelters which provide short term emergency accommodation and support in a safe setting.
Under a tripartite model, WCS brings together government, community and philanthropy to fund the establishment and ongoing operation of shelters and other cutting-edge housing solutions.
As a Tier 3 Community Housing provider, WCS relies on traditional and innovative housing solutions to achieve positive individual outcomes for women with and without children.
With a commitment to fostering empowerment and independence, WCS operates across multiple locations, delivering vital services to those in need.
About you
Essential skills and experience
relevant qualifications in Social Work, Psychology,
Community Services or related field with at least 2 years' experience in a domestic and family violence related role;
demonstrated understanding of client-centred and trauma-informed practice;
solid case management and client support skills
knowledge and application of relevant legislation and regulations;
demonstrated understanding of the varying needs of women and children who come from diverse backgrounds and present with multiple and complex needs;
strong interpersonal and organisational skills, demonstrated understanding of the dynamics, complexities and legal and social welfare consequences of DFV and experience supporting people impacted by domestic abuse;
commitment to qualified integrity and accountability;
proven experience in working both independently and in a collaborative team;
proficiency in the operation of computer software systems, including the MS Office Suite;
current Senior First Aid certificate or capacity to acquire one before commencement; and
the right to live and work in Australia;
WCS' services are provided only to women and their children.

Desirable skills and experience
prior experience working in a small team setting with a community-based organisation;
understanding of current issues in women's homelessness, including current practices of safety responses to domestic and family violence;
