About the roleThe Assistant Accountant supports the Finance team with effective management of financial risks and controls.
This includes ensuring accuracy of data in reporting systems, reconciliations, the monthly P&L; and reporting, as well as assisting with the preparation of budgets.Key responsibilitiesSupport the Finance Manager and wider Finance team to manage financial risk and maintain a strong control frameworkProcess stock billings and DSV invoices, ensuring accuracy through regular reconciliations.Perform bank account and balance sheet reconciliations.Administer Airwallex and travel-related accounts, ensuring receipts and documentation are maintained.Support month-end activities, including journal preparation, reconciliations and reporting.Assist in the preparation of monthly financial reports and ensure reporting deadlines are met.Prepare GST workpapers, ABS surveys and support other statutory reporting requirements.Assist with external audits and year-end financial reporting activities.Monitor financial controls and help maintain the accuracy and integrity of financial data.Support Accounts Payable activities and provide backup coverage when required.Identify process improvement and automation opportunities to enhance finance operations.Lead and support finance-related projects,
including sustainability and energy efficiency initiatives.About youBachelor's degree in AccountingFull or part qualified CA / CPA2–3 years' experience in an Assistant Accountant roleNetSuite experienceStrong attention to detail and internal control mindsetAnalytical thinker who can spot trends, solve problems and recommend a way forwardBuilds excellent relationships across teams and manages time effectivelyCurious, adaptable and keen to learnEffective written and verbal communicationLife at T2Enjoy a 50% discount to spoil yourself, plus endless cups of tea.Get recognition and rewards.
