We're seeking an experienced HR System Administrator to join the Human Resources team at Mater in Newstead until December ****.
In this role, you'll play a critical part in supporting, maintaining, and enhancing Mater's Human Resource Information Systems (HRIS), ensuring they remain reliable, secure, and aligned with business and legislative requirements.
You'll work closely with HR, Payroll, Finance, Digital Technology & Information teams, vendors, and end users to deliver system improvements, troubleshoot issues, manage system releases, and drive continuous improvement across our HR technology landscape.
Salary range: $***** to $***** per hour plus superannuation and access to not-for-profit salary packaging up to $15,900+ access to many staff benefits!
What you'll be doing
As an HR System Administrator, you'll provide technical and functional support across Mater's HR systems while contributing to system improvements and business process optimisation.
Key responsibilities include:
Planning, testing, and implementing system releases, fixes, enhancements, and upgradesMaintaining system configuration, security settings, user access, permissions, and core setup tablesSupporting HR systems to ensure ongoing alignment with business and legislative requirementsIdentifying, analysing, troubleshooting, and resolving system issues and faultsLiaising with software vendors and internal stakeholders regarding performance, availability, system reliability, and support mattersMonitoring system interfaces, scheduled processes, integrations, and automated workflowsDeveloping and maintaining reports, dashboards, and ad hoc reporting solutionsSupporting end users through telephone, online, and face‐to‐face assistanceAssisting with user documentation,



training materials, guides, and system communicationsSupporting change management and incident management activities in line with ITIL principlesContributing to system governance, security reviews, process documentation, and continuous improvement initiatives
About you
You're a customer‐focused systems professional who combines technical capability with strong stakeholder engagement skills.
You enjoy finding practical solutions, simplifying processes, and helping users get the most from technology.
You'll bring:
Tertiary qualifications in Information Technology, Human Resources, or a related discipline, or equivalent experienceDemonstrated experience administering HR Information Systems (HRIS)Experience in HR, payroll, workforce management, rostering, or related systems environmentsStrong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem‐solving skillsExperience working with system configuration, security administration, and user access managementKnowledge of reporting tools and developing regular and ad hoc reportsExperience supporting software upgrades, releases, and enhancementsUnderstanding of change management and incident management frameworks (ITIL desirable)Excellent communication and stakeholder management skillsA commitment to customer service and continuous improvementExperience within a healthcare environment will be highly regarded
