We are looking for a skilled Electronics Soldering Technician to join our production team.
This is a hands-on role focused on high-quality soldering, electronic assembly, rework and inspection of PCBAs and electronic products.
The successful candidate will have strong practical soldering skills and hold current IPC J-STD-001 and IPC-A-610 certifications.
No university or formal degree qualification is required for this position.
We are looking for someone with the right practical skills, attention to detail and commitment to quality.
Key Responsibilities
Perform through-hole and SMT soldering to IPC standards.
Assemble and solder electronic components onto PCBAs.
Perform component replacement, modification and PCB rework/repair.
Inspect solder joints and assemblies in accordance with IPC-A-610 requirements.
Work to IPC J-STD-001 soldering requirements and applicable workmanship standards.
Perform wiring, cable assembly, termination and related electronic assembly work.
Identify soldering and assembly defects and carry out appropriate corrective action.
Use microscopes and other inspection equipment where required.
Follow manufacturing drawings, work instructions, BOMs and engineering documentation.
Maintain accurate production and quality records.
Work closely with Production Engineering and Quality teams to resolve manufacturing issues.
Maintain a clean, organised and ESD-controlled work environment.
Follow all company quality,



safety and production procedures.
About You
We are looking for someone who:
Holds current IPC J-STD-001 certification.
Holds current IPC-A-610 certification.
Has experience working with PCBAs and electronic components.
Has excellent attention to detail and a strong quality mindset.
Can identify poor solder joints, component issues and workmanship defects.
Can read and follow drawings, BOMs and work instructions.
Is comfortable working under production deadlines without compromising quality.
Has good communication skills and works well within a multidisciplinary team.
Takes pride in producing consistent, high-quality workmanship.
Required Qualifications:
IPC J-STD-001 certification
IPC-A-610 certification
Demonstrated practical electronics soldering experience
Relevant hands-on experience, industry training and demonstrated soldering capability will be highly valued.
