Disability Support Worker (ABN Contractor) - Female
Acube Group is seeking a Female Disability Support Worker (ABN Contractor) to join our dedicated team in Schofields, NSW.
This is a contract position offering flexibility and independence as an ABN holder.
As a Disability Support Worker, you will play a vital role in delivering compassionate, person-centred support to individuals with disabilities, helping them achieve greater independence and participate meaningfully in their communities.
This position is specifically seeking applications from female candidates and offers the opportunity to make a real difference in people's lives while maintaining professional boundaries and upholding the highest standards of care.
Key responsibilities
Provide direct personal care and support to clients with disabilities, assisting with daily living activities such as personal hygiene, meal preparation, and mobilitySupport clients in accessing community activities, appointments, and social engagement opportunitiesAssist clients with medication reminders and health-related tasks as appropriate and within your scope of practiceMaintain accurate and timely documentation of support provided, including client progress notes and incident reportsDevelop and maintain positive, respectful relationships with clients, families, and other support network membersWork collaboratively with Acube Group staff and other service providers to ensure coordinated,
quality supportPromote client independence and autonomy by encouraging participation in decision-making about their supportMaintain confidentiality and uphold privacy standards in accordance with relevant legislation and organisational policiesReport concerns or changes in client wellbeing to management promptlyComply with health, safety, and quality standards, including infection control and workplace safety procedures
What we're looking for
Genuine compassion and empathy for people with disabilities, with a commitment to person-centred supportProven experience working in disability support, aged care, or a related community services settingStrong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trust with clients and familiesAbility to work independently as an ABN contractor whilst maintaining professional standards and accountabilitySound understanding of disability support principles, including dignity, rights, and independenceCurrent First Aid and CPR certification (or willingness to obtain)Working With Children Check (WWCC) clearance or ability to obtainValid driver's licence and access to reliable transport (Mandatory)ABNReliability, punctuality, and strong organisational skillsFlexibility to work varying hours, including early mornings, evenings,
and weekends as requiredCommitment to maintaining qualified boundaries and upholding duty of careExperience with NDIS (National Disability Insurance Scheme) is highly advantageous
