Our ClientOur client is a large, well-established national organisation operating across a complex industrial environment, with a strong focus on safety, risk management and continuous improvement.They are currently looking for an experienced HSE Coordinator / HSE Officer to join the business on a temporary assignment through to late January.Based in Dandenong, the role will support multiple operational locations and will involve some travel to regional sites.
This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys being visible in the field, partnering closely with operational leaders and helping drive practical safety outcomes.The RoleWorking closely with site leadership and operational teams, this role will provide hands-on support across critical risk, contractor management, HSE culture and compliance.Key responsibilities will include:Supporting critical risk management and ensuring key controls are in place and effectiveCoaching leaders and employees on risk assessments, controls and safe work practicesConducting workplace inspections focused on higher-risk activitiesFacilitating risk assessments, JSAs, JHAs and HAZID workshopsSupporting incident and near-miss investigationsTracking risk and corrective actions through to closureSupporting contractor prequalification, mobilisation, induction and trainingAssisting leaders with the safe management of contractors and labour hire employeesPromoting strong safety engagement through toolbox talks, pre-starts and safety conversationsSupporting hazard identification and near-miss reportingAssisting with HSE campaigns, initiatives and behavioural safety programsReviewing and updating HSE procedures, standards and Safe Work InstructionsSupporting audit,
inspection and compliance activitiesMonitoring contractor compliance with site HSE requirementsAssisting with environmental and regulatory compliance requirementsThe role will also have a strong focus on human factors, including fatigue, workload, ergonomics, task complexity, procedural compliance and identifying ways to simplify work and reduce operational risk.Why Should You Apply?
