The role supports the successful sustainment of tenancies through an effective allocation process, conducting professional and compassionate assessments of customer needs and providing appropriate advice, support and referrals.The Housing Officer will perform their duties in accordance with core organisational values, established policies and procedures, funding guidelines and relevant legislation, while maintaining robust internal and external stakeholder relationships and supporting positive community engagement.This is a full-time role (76 hours) with the flexibility to work a nine-day fortnight.Selection CriteriaRelevant qualifications or demonstrated experience in the housing and homelessness sector,



Human Services or another relatable field.Knowledge of community services and support pathways.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to engage respectfully with a diverse customer base.Proven ability to build and maintain effective internal and external stakeholder relationships.Demonstrated problem-solving, negotiation and conflict resolution skills.Effective time management and organisational skills including accurate recordkeeping.Ability to work independently and collaboratively with adaptability in a changing environment.Proficiency in Microsoft Office and the capacity to adopt new systems.Holder of Australian Citizenship or full, unrestricted Australian work rights.Ability to obtain and maintain a National Police Check, Blue Card and Disability Worker Screening Clearance.Current Queensland C-Class Driver Licence.What We OfferA meaningful role making a real difference in the community.Supportive, values-driven team culture.Training and professional development opportunities.The chance to work with a respected organisation committed to social impact.All applications are confidential and only shortlisted candidates will be contacted.Be careful - Don't provide your bank or credit card details when applying for jobs.
